Everyone is born and given a name from their parents. It becomes your identity and a part of who you are. When one starts on the path of any magick or sorcery. In most shamanistic societies the rite of passage to becoming a shaman involves receiving your spiritual name from the world of spirit. In essence receiving your spiritual name is like a rite of passage into the spiritual world.  

 Now weather you wish to walk the path of a Shaman, a white magician or a Black Magician you will at some point wish to uncover your spiritual name.  

 Uncovering one’s spiritual name is a very interesting experience. Depending on the type of person you are will determine what you go through in order to receive your name. With some people the name will some to them in a dream or be given to them by their ancestors. This process happens relatively fast, you will be sleeping or meditating or even just sitting still and suddenly a name will pop into your head and hit you with such force that you know it is your spiritual name.

Some people choose to make their spiritual name based on their interests and beliefs. They will start my making a list of things that they like or are drawn to and then based on that will pick words that describe them. An example of this is, lets say you like the colour blue, you like tiger and you like the moon. You feel that these words represent you, So you put them together and you get BlueMoon Tiger, or whatever order you wish to place the word in.

The way that I received my spiritual name was on a journey on conversation with my higher self. I was meditating and focussing on exploring my self and my being as a whole. When you explore your entire being during meditation it is a process that can take years as you work at uncovering your un conscious, sub conscious and well as understanding your own spiritual nature. Learning about yourself never really ends as there are always new dimensions to explore and areas to uncover. Anyway, I was working at establishing a dialogue with my higher self in order to have my spiritual name revealed to me. It was a very interesting journey as I walked through my higher world I was faced with obstacles in which I needed to over come. Most of them where my own mental blocks and barriers. Limitations I had placed on myself.

When I finally reached my higher self the name Akelta was given to me and since that day I have used knowing full heartedly that this was my spiritual name.There are lots of ways of finding one’s spiritual name and truth be told NONE of them are wrong. This is your magickal journey and you are meant to discover the ways and paths that are right for you. Some people will journey to the spiritual world and battle an entity for their name. Some people will go through the spiritual death and rebirth in order to be reborn with their name. Others will fat for days and have their name brought to them by one of their guides. There is no wrong way to find your spiritual name. Just make sure that it is a name that feel 100% right for you.One more thing. You are under no obligation to tell anyone your spiritual name. If you want to, great! if you want to keep it a secret that is fine as well. Black magic is about following your own soul, thinking for yourself and doing what is right for you.Good luck on finding your own spiritual names.Priestess Akelta

There are lots of people in the world that feel that black magick is an easy art.  And that all that is involved in it is on the spur of the moment setting up a few candles and chanting some phrases and then magically having everything appear to them…………….

 Ok that would be called a three minute spell and they seldom work.  Anyone that claims to be able to do spell on the spur of the moment without any  planning will have poor results with their spells.  Trust me, you will get better results when you take the time to plan out your Black magic spells and understand the complete process involved in casting them. 

There may come a point in the future where you own will power will be enough to create things that you desire, but as far as spells and rituals go (especially ones that involve summoning or evocation)  you need to make sure that you have a strong understanding of the spell you are going to cast. 

 When I start my planning I start by selecting the spell or ritual that I wish to cast.  If I am creating it myself then I will meditate on the concept for a few days planning out every detail and making sure that I understand every element involved in the spell I am making.  If I am using a spell or ritual from a book I will read the ritual over a good many times in order to completely understand what it is that I am doing.  After I have read it over I will commit the entire spell to memory, even the words that I do not have to say just so I am well prepared. 

I will them take time to make sure that I have all the necessary materials for the spell.  If I do not already have what I need I will go out and buy it.  Anytime I start  a new spell doesn’t matter if I already own the items of if I buy them I will always cleanse them in a salt water bath to make sure the energy are clean.  The last thing you want is to have energies from other spells mixing and causing strange results. 

 So far I have memorized the spell and I have my materials.   I am still not ready to cast the spell as I need to have a complete image of what I want the result of the spell to be.  Lets say I am casting a love spell and I desire a specific man.  I will write out a description of this man and all the qualities I want and then hold an image of this guy in my mind.  Remember the actually result might be close but not exact, so if you image a guy with blond hair and you get one with brown hair who is basically perfect do not be mad, be grateful,  Where he is lacking in some areas he may make up for in others. 

After I have the image of my desired results I will meditate on that desire making sure that I feel the energy and that during the spell I can bring out my strong passionate energies towards my desire.  During the spell there will be no confusion of what you want as you will clearly have the image in your mind and your connection with that image will be strong.  This will make the spell VERYpowerful.

There is one thing I always do before casting the spell that is super important.  Before casting the spell I will sit in silence with myself and see if I have any limiting beliefs towards the spell.  A limiting belief is basically a thought in your mind that say “you can’t do this” or “This is impossible” ect.    These are thoughts that will cause a spell to fail.  Confidence and belief in ones abilities is essential for success in spell casting. If I find any of these limiting beliefs I will change them or eliminate them so that they do not interfere with my magick.  I am a black magician and that mean I need to have a complete understanding of what is going on inside of me.   The greatest challenges in black magic are not what is on the outside, but what is on the inside. 

Once I feel prepared I will then choose a date, pick a location and prepare the altar to cast the spell.  Preparation also gives one a feeling of ease as they know inside that they are prepared and can successfully cast the spell without any stumbles or falters.  This allows the whole process to go smoothly with the magician displaying high levels of confidence and focus,   guaranteeing success of the spell.

Well I decided to take a little break for the New Year and go away for a week, just to relax and re-evaluate my goals and what I want to do this year.

When doing Black Magic it is important to to set goals for your self and have an understanding of where you wish to take your craft. Sure it can be fun blindly waking around just doing whatever you feel like, but in the end you need to focus your efforts if you want to master any black magic skill.

This is why, at the start of the New Year, I will cast a cleansing spell.  After cleansing myself I will take time for me (another important thing to do in black magic).  Touch base with myself, and figure out what I desire in the coming year.

There are many roads in life, and in Black magic we believe that we can take any road we want.  The choice is ours where we we wish to go.

When I was younger I use to go hiking in the mountains ( I still do but not as much). On some of those trips I would just blindly walk around and play in the forest.  It was those times where I usually never made it past the base of the mountain. When I walked in with a goal to get to the top of the mountain, I would usually end my journey on top looking down on the city ( a beautiful site to behold).

 Anyway my point is that no path is wrong.  When I stayed at the bottom and ran around at the base, I had fun, but never accomplished getting to the top.  When I set the goal of getting to the top I achieved what I wanted.   Depending on what you want your outcome to be, your journey will be different.

With magickal abilities it is the same thing.  If you want to excel in black magic, then you need to practice and be committed to learning your skills.  Setting goals can help you stay on track and focused on your goals so that you get there faster.

When I set my goals I will alway start by taking time for me and just relaxing.  I find that the business of life can sometimes overpower the internal voice so every now and then you need to silence all noise and listen to what your true self is telling you.  I use Meditation for this.   Meditation is a very very important thing in Black Magic as it helps you to get in touch with yourself and understand what your needs and wants are.  Basically meditation provides you with a door to seek out your inner self and find out what you want.

After I have meditated and found out what I want I will them make a list of things that I want to have, or wish to do in the coming year.   The important thing with making the list is to not let the “I can’t do that attitude get in the way.”   When you write something down and you feel like you cannot do that, that is your mind putting a limitation on you.  In Black Magic we must work to remove these limitations and believe in our own power.

Believe me these limitations can take time to break down.  Some of them take years  depending on what the limitation is.   Just make the list and do not worry about anything.

When it comes to magic goals, after I have made the list of things I would enjoy learning about I will then read as much as I can on those topic, as well as meditate on the concept seeing what information I can derive from the spirit world.  Which is usually a lot.

One last important piece on information.  Only do things if you enjoy it.  Do not do anything you hate just to impress other people.  Do things for you!  In Black Magic the outcome or attaining the goal is not the most important part.

Getting to the goal is not the most important part.  The journey,  hiking up the mountain and taking in all that is around me, is.  Sure acheiving goals is great, but the jouney is where the lessons are learned and where the growth happens.  It is also where all your exerpiences and memories take place.  Do not stress yourself out about making mastering your goals.  Enjoy the Journey and learn all you can from the experience.

If you cannot have fun and enjoy the journey, then you will never be truely happen IF you ever reach your goal.   Your magick will be stronger if you learn with enthusiasm and passion.

The Spiritual world is a very very large place.  It has many dimensions and level within it, some of which are incomprehensible to the human mind.  So then how does one interpret all the magickal energies that appear during trances, deep meditations, or astral projections.  The Answer is with a great power that exist inside us all, the Imagination. 

The Imagination is one of the most powerful tools we have access too, for any area especially magick.  Even Albert Einstein is quoted as saying “The Imagination is more important than knowledge.”  He was very right.  In Black Magick the power of the imagination allows us to interpret energies, access our higher mystical abilities and with it we can make our spells more powerful.  Think about it for a second, what spell seems more powerful:  One where you are merely chanting words?  Or one where you are using your imagination and living in your spell,  experiencing and breathing every second of it? 

When casting spells, if you want them to be effective, it is essential that you use your imagination and competely throw your being into that spell. In all spells you need to be able to visualize your outcome and what you wish to attain from casting that spell. The imagination is the device that is used for this.

The Imagination is the gateway in which we can communicate to our higher self and access our higher world.  It is an ability that must be developed for anyone who is serious about magick.  The imagination also allows your mind to go beyond what is already knows and access new thoughts and ideas, some of which are even unknown to society. 

In Black magick we believe that we create our own reality and everything in it.  Using the power of the imagination helps one to craft that reality and can become the conduit for manifestating that reality into your life. 

The Imagination is used when one astral travels, or visits their higher world. It is that part of your brain which is used to generate pictures and create images using the energy that comes to you.  Without an imagination magick would be an impossible thing to attain. 

Aside from all that the imagination is a skill like any other that needs to be trained in order for it to grow and improve. As children we seem to have a better imagination than we do as adults. That is becasue the concept of the imagination is usually shunned by society as we are taught as we grow up, to abandon our fantasies and desires, as they can only lead to sensless dreaming.

In the first stage of the imagination it can be used as an escape from the real world. But with practise one can train their imagination to become powerful and an extension of ones own magick and energies. The imagination can become so powerful that if you imagine someone touching you, you will feel it. If you imagine an object in front of you, you will see it as if it is really there. Energy is all around us and the imagination can harness that energy and create things out of it. This with training will allow you to creat your own reality and everything in it.

People are afraid of power. This is one reason why in society magick, the imagination and the spiritual world are feared. People fear their own power and they fear other peoples power. This fear is irrational and keeps you from attaining your true power. Do not fear what you have inside of you, embrace it. Let your imagination go and see the wonderful, creative ideas that you can dream up.

Ever great accomplishment in society started with a though, a simple dream, the use of the imagination. Do not take this skill as a simple device used to entrance children.  It is a great tool especially the realm of black magick and spell casting.  The imagination helps us to grow and expand our understanding of the world.  It can also releave stress by allowing us a place of refuge.  With a trained imagination your dreams become more vivid and the hidden messages that once elluded you can be uncovered. 

Don’t doubt your own power or the power that is locked away in your mind.  The mind is a powerful tool that should be embraced, not wasted.

The last few days have been interesting.  With Yule and all the Magickal exercises I have been doing.  Yule is a time of renewal, when you cast away the energies of the past and look towards the future.  It is a time to let go or things that are holding you back and set new goals for the future.  Yule marks the death of the Sun god and so the death of the past.  The Sun god being reborn again in spring, marking a new beginning. 

This Year for Yule I designed a Ritual for myself to help clear away the old energies and bring in some better ones. 

The First part of the ritual was a cleansing ritual.  I fasted for a day in order to cleanse my body.  Then I prepared a bath and using dead sea salt cleaned my body and soul of toxins they may have accumulated.   After the bath I preformed a specially designed spell that was designed to let go of energy and release them into the void so that they can return to me renewed and refreshed, ready to start a whole new year.   In Black magic we are all about renewance and creating that which we desire.  In order to make that possible we have to cleanse our bodies of past energies that may be holding us back. 

The Cleansing ritual took me about an hour to complete but it was very refreshing and I felt lighter afterwards.  As if a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders.  Then came the fun part, Stage 2 of the ritual. 

 The second part of the ritual was  designed to attract into my life everything I want to attain in the new year.  For starters I made a list of everything I wanted to attain, goals, objects, ect.  Then I created an art piece of what I wanted, thus pouring my creative energy into the manifestation process.  Believe me art is a very powerful tool when it comes to black magick.  Some people say that art is a form of magic. 

For those of you who have my book, I did the three images in the chapter of dark energies, and I took every picture in the book and touched them up using Photoshop

 Anyway, after I completed the art piece I preformed another spell which is designed to bring to me all that I desire.  The spell consists of me sitting in the altar I have created and focusing intensely on each object, a process that can take a while but it is well worth it and a great way to start the new year.    I focus intensely on each object.  One thing I have come to notice is that I can feel when I am in alignment with the object.  When the object is far away my third eye will move around, almost as if looking for the energy.  When I begin the attraction process I will actually feel my third eye connect to the energy of the object and start to move it towards me.  It is a very cool technique and can be used for many things;  object, people, money, houses, ect.

After I focus on each item.  I finished it with an invocation to a diety who helps grant ones desires. Then I cleared the room and put the altar away.  I left the past behind me and prepared to walk down the path towards my future.  If you spend all your time focusing on the past.  You will stray off your path and lose focus of your future.

A big thing on my list of thing to attract is new books, and book shelves.  I LOVE to read and I LOVE books, they are the most glorious thing in the world.  I can spend hours reading, lost in the world of magic.

Well as you all know, yesterday was the ancient Pagan holiday of Yule.  The End of December is historically known as the Winter solstice and the darkest time of the year.  Truly a very powerful night filled with darker energies.   This is the longest night and shortest day of the year. 

 The holiday of Yule Began in the ancient times and was celebrated by the Germanic tribes.  The holiday was celebrated based on the lunar calendar to assure that they got the longest day of the year.  Now most of our celebration occurs on the 21st just to make is easier.   During the winter months especially in the north it would get very cold and the potential for people to die was very high.  So in order to survive people would band together and share their resources to ensure the survival of the entire community.   This was common especially in Celtic societies where the winters were chilly. 

Food was scarce during this time so people would often put of feasts to ensure that everyone got fed and raise spirits so that people would be happy and filled with joy. A pig was also slaughtered on Yule so that everyone could feast.  When people were happy and well fed they had a better chance of surviving the cold. This is where the idea of holiday feasting originated from.  Also in order to spread merriment and cheer the houses were decorated with holly and mistle toe to liven every-ones spirit.  The exchanging of gifts was common in this time as well as it was a gesture to show how much they appreciated everyone for their hard work. 

Another Pagan tradition was the decorating of trees with candles. The original use for this was so that anyone who got lost in the cold could find their way home by following the lit up trees. This was a safety precaution to make sure that people did not get lost and die.  Also the lights on the tree also added in the lifting of spirits. 

So as a Black magicians what spells are good to cast on Yule.  Yule is a good night for all types of spells especially darker spells as it is the longest night of the year.  Some spells that I like to do are renewal spells where I cleanse myself of unwanted energies and prepare myself for the new year.   I will set goals and meditate on those goals attracting those energies to me.   This purging spells helps me to let go of unwanted thought and move forward.  It is also a very good night for prosperity and abundance spells because it is a time of giving and getting. 

I also heard an interesting thing from an old witch last night.  She told me that on this night Demons walk the earth and can make contact with the living.   This is a good night to Preform Evocations on as the energies as attuned to it. 

as for me it is snowing right now which is awsome, and I am getting ready to go to a yule festival that some of my witch friends have put on.

Here is a little something that everyone can practise with.  It is a money spell that I have tested in the past and know of it’s efficiency. 

What you need……

~3 Green Candles

~A piece of fresh paper and pen

~ A piece of Malachite

~Burn Jasmine, Mint, or Orange essential oils.

 Step 1

First you will want to clear a space to preform the spell.  By clearing a space I mean you want to clean the area and cleanse it of unwanted energies.  If you have your own method then use that one but one that works is going around the room with a smudge stick and using it to purify the house.  A Smudge stick is basically a stick of sage. 

Next you will want to purify yourself by taking a shower or bath before preforming the spell.  

You will also want to meditate before the spell in order to connect with the spiritual energies.  During the meditation focus on money.   

Step 2

Prepare the altar by first getting a diffuser full of the essential oil of your choice and lighting it.  Then in the place that you have selected to preform the spell, place the three candles in front of you in a triangle shape.  Do not light them yet.   

On the piece of paper, write out the amount of money that you would like to attain.  

In your left hand hold the piece of Malachite. 

If you wish you can place in the altar an image of a deity of wealth and money, such as Lakshmi.

Step 3

Stand before the altar you have created and take a moment to connect to the spirits.  Make sure that you entire focus is only on the spell and nothing else.  Light the candles going from left to right and as you light each one say…

“money comes to me”

As you say these words focus on money moving towards you.  Use you mental strength and see the image of the bills moving your way. 

Once you have lite all the candles.  Take a deep breath and then in your right hand pick up the piece of paper with the amount of money you wish to attain on it and gaze at it.  Only stare at it and let nothing break your focus. 

As you gaze at it say…

“This money is mine

This money of (insert amount) is coming to me

Money moves towards me” 

Repeat these lines at least 20 times focusing all the time on money moving towards you.  If you can feel energy feel the energy moving towards you in the form of money. 

Continue to focus on the amount and see it moving towards you and surrounding you, say…

“I am surrounded by money”

Repeat this at least 20 times.   Each time say it with more excitement and passion. 

See yourself surrounded by money, see the vision of all the money surrounding you.  Get so passionate about it that you can smell and feel the money touching your skin. 

Become completely entranced in your vision and live in the moment of the spell. 

Step 4

After you have connected to the energy and experienced the money surrounding you, take a deep breath and return to your normal state.  Blow out the candles going from right to left and put the altar away making sure to clear the room.  Place the piece of paper somewhere, where you will see it everyday and each time you look at is see the money coming towards you. 

The Malachite is also charged and you will want to put it in a safe place.

Clear the room again and you are done. 

This is a topic that I get a lot of e-mails about.  It is so true everyone wants to have more money to do the things that they love in life. 

Image, you are a little straped for cash, so you decide to ask for spiritual aid.  You decide to preform a money spell.  Hoping that you can attract some more of the green stuff.  You go to your local metaphysical store and pick up the supplies and prepare your altar,  then you preform the neccessary steps and wait……..and wait………………………………and wait………….and then you get annoyed because nothing has happened except that you are out $20 for the supplies…….. 

The sad thing is that we are taught to fear and hate money.  Most of us have been told at one point in our lives that money is the root of all evil.  All the porblems in the world are caused from money, it is better to be poor and humble then to be rich and powerful right, rich people only got that way by screwing others, money is a scarce commodity…. Money is power and power corrupts….right??? 

WRONG!! As Black magicians we embrace power, power is a good thing, it is what we seek.  Power can go both ways as there are those who are corrupted by power and there are those who use power to help themselves and those around them. 

The only way to master the power without being corrupted, is to master yourself.    Black Magicians learn to control the power without being corrupted.  The only reason that power and money seem to corrupt is because the people it corrupts do not understand themselves and have a weak sense of self!  True power comes from within and once that is mastered you cannot be corrupted, only follow your will.   That power can be used to influence the world. 

When you have power you have the ability to express your will and craft your life is whatever way you want.  You basically live in a natural state with yourself.  True power,  coming from the essence of the core self, does not corrupt. 

Now back to the belief people have about money.  Money is not evil!  This belief is why so many money spells fail to work, because in the back of most peoples mind in the thought that having money makes you a bad person…………..  Believe me having money allows you to do what you want.  It does not make you a bad person.  Money can give you the power to impact the world.  Weather the person chooses to impact it for good or bad, that is the decision of the person.  Having money does not make one a bad person, having money allows you to create your dream life.    

Then there are those that believe that having money changes people and so subconsciously sabotage any attempt to get more money.   This is called a comfort zone, if you want to excel in black magick learn about comfort zones cause you’ll be pushing and breaking a lot of them.  Of course money will change you, all forms of growth change you….

Change always happens weather we like it or not.  If we try to keep everything the same we will become stagnant and nothing will work.  If you fear the change you will have negative results of that change.  But if you embrace the change and be willing to accept what will become of that change then it will be a (sometimes painful) over all wonderful process. 

 Money is a form of energy, a symbolic way to show appreciation for services preformed.  That is all it is….a SYMBOL!!! If you want to have effective money spells then start thinking of money as energy.  Just like when you cast a spell you are sending out energy, whenever you send out energy if you specify you will get it back in whatever form you wish.  Money is an energy so when casting your money spells see yourself sending out energy and then visualize that energy coming back to you in the form of money. 

Remember, you have to see the money coming towards you during the spell.  Focus solely on that image, hold the image of money moving towards you in your mind. 

 Start small with your money spells. you need to build up that confidence.  Spells will only work if you throw yourself into them and believe in your abilities.  Like anything if you do not believe in it your mind will sabotage it.  If you start with a small spell, then gets results you will be in a more confident position to preform more advanced money spells.   If you are confident in your casting abilities then by all means cast a powerful money spell and watch it come rolling in.   If you cast a spell to have a million dollars…but you do not believe that you can attain a million dollars the spell will fail.  If however you “truly believe” you can attain a million dollars then cast the spell and you will get it!

Personally I have made money appear out of thin air.  In high school I always found money on the ground to buy lunch with.  A friend of mine cast a money spell when she was having financial difficulties and the next day she found $200….. Money spells are very powerful when done right. 

 Keep that in mind and remember focus!

In Black Magic,  well, in all forms of magick one strives for enlightenment, power and connections to the self.  Unlike some books will say,  there is always going to be some painful realizations.  When you start on a journey such as this, it is never an easy thing.  There are always obstacles to over come and growing pains.  

Just remember, Black magicians never give up and will keep striving for mastery…

It is not all bad, there will be moments of sheer bliss, and when one begins true mastery these will come quite frequently, and eventually will always be.   But, in the beginning stages, it can be rocky. 

In Black magicmost of these obstacles are never on the outside, but on the inside.   In order to be a true Black magicianwith access to the higher powers and abilities far beyond what you currently think is possible, you need to master YOURSELF. 

This is one of the hardest tasks in the world.  Think about it, most of the time people listen to what others tell them to do.  From a child we have  parents, teachers, people telling us what is good for us and what we need to do.  The  child never has a chance to breath and listen to themselves.   On top of that, we are taught that taking care of ourselves first is selfish and wrong.  How can we take care of anyone if we cannot take care of ourselves.  It is not selfish to put yourself first, it is actually the most selfless thing you can do.  Ponder that one for a while. 

We are taught to be the servants, when in reality we need to be the masters. 

It can be lonely and scary looking into yourself and actually listening to what is going on down there.  Gazing into the mind can lead to madness,  that is why some people who walk this path end up in the hospital.   It is essential though.  You must know yourself and strive to do what you want and what you will.  It is your path and only you know what is right for you while walking it. 

 When you begin to listen to yourself on the inside, you will begin to see the power that you have.  You will become strong and confident and able to overcome all obstacles effortlessly.

Once the mind is mastered, Black magickspells and rituals will be easy for you.   The first stages of any new skill are always hard.  You will be fighting with all your old behaviours,  the hardest part is breaking those behaviours and believing in yourself.   If you love and respect yourself, spells work 10 times better.  When you are connected to yourself and living in each moment you are able to summon more energy inside of you and manipulate the energy around you.   When you learn to Focus 100% on each thing you do during the day the world will appear simpler and you will bend it to your will.

 Some things that happen when you begin to grow and experience new, powerful energies is that you can feel like you are on top of the world.  Or you can feel down in the dumps.  These highs and lows happen, even to me.  As long as you keep working towards understanding yourself and growing, then eventually they will end.  

If you devote yourself to black magick there will be other trials that you must overcome and trials you must pass.  depending on how far you go some of these are very intense.  Each down you overcome be joyful and know that you have grown from the experience. 

It is important when practising black magick to not push yourself and only do things that you feel comfortable with.  Only do what you feel is right for you and never let anyone talk you into anything you do not want to do.    Alwasy strive to grow, but be mindful of your current states.  You must know yourself and be present with yourself if order to be a successful Black Magician.

It is a known fact that crystals are very powerful tools, especially when doing black magick.  They are known for their healing properties as well as their ability to direct and manipulate energy.   They are used is all schools of magick.  

Each crystal contains different energies with different properties.  For example Quartz is a great crystal for removing harmful energies from the human aura, while Malachite is a good crystal to have if you want more money (add malachite to your money spells to increase the amount of money coming to you). 

 The healing power that crystals carry within them is amazing.  Not just for healing others but healing yourself.  In Black magick it is important to take care of yourself and using cystals can help with that.    Crystals are charged with energy that resonates an energy field around them.    The crystals are used to absorb the harmful energy off the human aura and transform it into healthy energy.  This can be done as simply as carrying around certain types of crystals.   

Crystals have also been know to amplify psychic powers and other magickal abilities.   This makes them very useful in black magick rituals and practises. When you add a crystal to your rituals depending on the type of crystal and what you do with it you can increase the effectiveness of your spells.   In some spells just creating a circle of crystals will increase the power of the area and your spell will be that much more effective.  Crystals can be used in any spell or ritual as there is a wide variety.   

They say that the paths of Atlantis were lined with crystals and that is how they were able to communicate telepathically.   It is also why they were so powerful and able to control the forces of nature as they did. 

 In some black magick rituals the spherical crystals of a darker colour can be used as a black mirror.  My black mirror is made out of Rainbow obsidian.  It acts as a perfect gate to other dimensions of the spirit world when I am scrying or using it to access other realms. 

 When one practises with a black mirror it is amazing how much can be revealed.   I have seen very interesting images, most of which have come to pass.  There are some instances where one can perfectly see into the future with the black mirror. 

Another thing crystals are commonly used for in black magic is binding an entity within the crystals to ask of it a favour.  This allows the magician to communicate with the entity.   This method is basically using a crystal for astral evocation.  There are a lot of black magic rituals that speak of binding entities withing crystals.  Why is this? well for starters crystals are very powerful and when their energy is used in the right way, they create a protection shield that can keep the entity contained within it. 

Now as much as I am for befriending the entities that one summons, only a fool summons entities without some protection for the first time.  Until you get a feel for the entity always use a protection shield.  Some magician will even say to ALWAYS use the shields.   

When the entity is called into the crystal you will be able to see them within it.  It will be like looking into another world as the crystal changes and within it you see the astral plane that the entity has appeared on.   This can only be done though if one has mastered the art of scrying as scrying opens the spiritual eyes.  Entities can only be seen through the spiritual eyes. 

It is not just for spells and rituals, even just having them in your house can change the energies in your house.  I have a large collection of crystals that help to keep the energy fresh and clear in my house.  Crystals are like an energy purifying.  They will absorb unwanted energy in your house and release good energy.  I have to clean my crystals at least once an month  to wash away all the unwanted energy they have collected. 

Crystals are pretty to look at but they also carry untapped energies that can be used for you magickal practises.  Do not discount them when you are creating your spells.  I would take some time, get a book and read up on them so that you have an understanding of how crystals can impact your life in a positive way.
