No Matter what religion you are, or faith you are, or beliefs you have, prayer is powerful. It can lift the spirit and help you to vibrate at a more desirable level. It can change the energy of your environment and bring you things that you desire.
Prayer can be a powerful magickal tool when preformed with dedication and focus. You would be very surprised how you can change the energy of a house or a room, or yourself with a little prayer.
Here are some prayers which are wonderful to preform during the Holiday Lughnasadh.
Prayer for the Warrior Soul
My Soul is of the warrior, fighting in spirit
Following a code of honour and wisdom
We will find no strength in the arm,
in a knife, sword or gun
but from our strong core, mind and soul.
I call forth great warriors from the past
who stood their ground and fought
Those who stood tall and strong
who did what needed to be done
Who were called upon and made the ultimate sacrifice for others
Who died so others could live
I call to you this night
come join me in my dwelling
Grant me the gifts of strength
Strength of heart, soul and spirit!
Prayer to Lugh
Mighty God Lugh,
God of the craftsman,
Lord of the artisans,
Master of the smiths,
I call to you this day
and Honour your name.
Lugh, who has many talents and skills
I ask of you,
Bless me with your wisdom,
Shine your light upon me this day,
Reveal to me your gifts,
and secrets to mastering my talents.
Great Lugh!
Thank you for your blessing upon me and my home.
Prayer to the Harvest Deities
Our fields are full and plentiful
our orchards are in full bloom
Hail to the gods who watch over our land!
Hail Ceres, Goddess of the grain!
Hail Pomona, goddess of the orchards
Hail Attis, He who dies and is reborn!
Hail Bacchus, God of Wine and Drink!
We honour you at this time of harvest,
and prepare our tables with your bounty.
Prayer for the Grain
From the fields of gold,
come the waves of the grain.
As we bid farewell to the summer
the harvest has begun
and crops are ripe for picking.
As the summer sun fades to autumn
our flour will be milled
our bread will be baked
and our food will be plentiful for the winter.
