Why Your Spells Don’t Work

Spells are exceptionally effective and powerful…. when done right.  They have the ability to impact and change your life in extraordinary ways.  Unfortunately, a lot of people struggle and have a hard time getting consistent results when casting spells.  While there are many reasons for this there are the six main reason.

1. Lack of Focus – In order to cast effective spells your mind should be focused and sharp.  You should have put in the time and effort beforhand to mentally train yourself to stay clear and focused through the entire spell.  Nothing breaks the energy of a spell when you suddenly start thinking about dinner when your mind should be focused on what it is your want to accomplish.

You need to be present during the spell or the effects will be weak.  You also need to be in the right state of mind.  There is no use casting a curse if you are feeling all lovey and happy, or casting a love spell if you feel depressed.  You mind needs to be 100% in the moment and 100% in the sensation of the spell you are casting.  Really throw yourself into the emotion of the spell.  The stronger the energy you radiate are, the stronger your spells will be.  Your mind must be resonating with the freqency of your spell.

2. Lack of commitment – Are you committed to your spell and willing to do whatever it takes?  Better question, are you committed to your spiritual practise and have prepared yourself accordingly?  Both things are super important!  You cannot expect to just pick up a spell and cast it and have everything you want fall into place instantly without practise.  Working spells required dedication and a willingness to learn and increase your knowledge and experience.

You should have done some homework and studied and have some experience and practise doing spiritual exercises. The more practise and experience you have the stronger and more effective your spells will be.  If you are just here to dabble then I suggest you stop right now as you will only get hurt.

 

3. Blaming others – This is surprisingly common in the magical community.  Instead of taking responsibility and looking at oneself to see why a spell is not working, people will immediately look to blame others or the spell itself.  Some people blame the one who gave them the spell.  Well if you did your research and studied you would know what to look for in a good spell, so even if you received a bad spell you should really take it as a learning lesson for what not to do next time.  The spell might be a very good quality spell you just might not be focused or skilled enough to work it.

You cannot expect immediate results.  Some spells take time to fully manifest.  Sometimes it can take weeks or even months to see results.  Believe in your magical workings and have faith that what you desire will manifest.

4. An Unwillingness to do what it takes – Some spells are complex and take time and dedication to complete.  Some require multiple castings, while others require multisteps that need to be completed at specific times on specific days.  Are you willing to do what the spell says to get the results you want?  or are you just going to half ass it and do what is easiest?  Well if your answer is the latter than you probably are not going to get the results you want. If the spell calls for you to cast 21 days in a row, you better be ready to commit.  If you are doing a mantra meditation and it says repeat the mantra 108 times daily for 40 days, you better be ready to commit to that.  Otherwise how can you expect to get any results.  These spells are designed specifically to channel the energies of the universe in a way that produces results.  Some of them are ancient and have been used for years by covens with great results.

Just a note***  There are some spells out there that are crap, and others that are amazing.  Also, you may find that some spells work well for you and others do not.  It is recommended that you keep a journal and journal all magical practise you undertake.  This way you can reflect and see what you are doing and through the experiences you gain, learn what will get the best results for you.  Just because a spell does not work does not mean it is a bad spell, you just might not be ready yet to cast it.  Or you might be in the wrong state or mind, or missed a step, or are too impatient.  It is also a good way to track your progress and uncovers areas where you need to improve as a spell caster.  Golden rule – keep a journal of your journey and find the spells that work for you.

5. Lack of faith in yourself – You have to beleive in yourself and in the spell for it to fully work.  Otherwise you will only get minor results or no results at all.  Think of it this way, when you cast a spell you send a signal to the universe that you desire something.  If you then send a signal that it does not work or that you don’t believe it will work you are weakening the message.

Lack of faith is a distraction that will take away from the energy of the spell and make the spell weaker or ineffective.  Believe beyond a shadow of a doubt that this spell is working and what you are doing will manifest.  This will actually make the spell work faster with much better results.

Some people who actually don’t believe try to cast spells just to see if they work, well no wonder nothing works out for you, your are unfocused, inexperienced and lacking in faith. Remember magick is a way of life.  If you don’t believe or doubt then don’t get involved, this is not a game and people can and do get hurt.  If you are serious and want to learn then be willing to put in the time.  If you just want to dabble and fool around then stop right now and find something else to amuse you.

6. Impatience – This is a very hard question to answer, I have had spells work in a couple of hours, the next day, three months, even two years down the road.  There is no clear answer.  Don’t get frustrated if you do not see results right away.  Maybe cast the spell again to build up the energy.

If you are working with a spell caster, then make sure you talk to them, maybe they can do a follow up spell to help increase the energy, but be patient, depending on the blocks surrounding you or what energy needs to clear it can take some time for a spell to work it’s way through.  Make sure that when you decide to do something you stick to it.  Jumping around from one spell to another, or one spell caster to another will send way to many mixed signals out to the universe and weaken your intent.

Stay focused! It is better to work and building up the energy of what you desire, the stronger it is the faster results will come to you.  Be patient and have faith in your workings.
